Lalitpur. The wife was seriously injured in a dispute arising out of the demand for additional dowry, who died in the hospital during treatment. In relation to the incident, the father of the deceased accused all the in-laws, including the husband, of harassing his daughter for demanding additional dowry.
Along with abusing, he was also accused of causing serious injuries by hanging a noose around his neck. In connection with the incident, after giving Tahrir to the police, a murder case was registered against the four named accused including the husband under dowry harassment and conspiracy.
According to the information received, Rajendra Singh s/o Pancham Singh, resident of Kodar village of Amola police station under district Shivpuri of nearby Madhya Pradesh, married his daughter to husband Sarpanm s/o Krishnapal Singh, resident of village Kuantala under Sadar Kotwali area. But after marriage, his daughter was harassed for demanding additional dowry.
There used to be a situation of dowry harassment that she was abused and beaten up and treated like animals. On May 12 last, after assaulting her daughter over the demand of additional dowry, with the aim of killing her, all the in-laws including her husband inflicted serious injuries on her by hanging her around her neck.
Due to which his condition became serious and he was admitted to the hospital. But when his condition worsened, he was referred to Jhansi Medical College, where he died during treatment.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the Sadar Kotwali police have registered a case under Section 323 504 120B 498A 304B 34 Dowry Harassment Act against all the nominated in-laws, including the husband, on the basis of the complaint letter given by the victim.
